ROAR ALDP
When I first made the decision to come to the University of Cincinnati, I was far from thrilled. The school was too close to home, was said to be in an unsafe location, and none of my friends were going there - a reason that may be considered to be a high school senior's worst nightmare.
Regardless, I convinced myself to be open to new people and experiences, and quickly fell in love with not only the students and faculty on campus, but with the school itself.
Now I know that I'm not the only incoming student who has misconceptions about UC, and that is exactly why I wanted to become a ROAR tour guide - to show them the true beauty and welcoming nature of the school. To show them how easy it is for anyone to make the University of Cincinnati feel like home.

To take my involvement in the program a step further, I became a part of ROAR ALDP, a small group that met once every two weeks to discuss the missions of ROAR, as well as new developments and improvements that could be made a part of the organization. The members of ALDP also contributed to a blog that consists of topics we covered in our meetings. Click the button above to view the blog. And below is my reflection for the program.
